We are a Disc Jockey and entertainment service that has far reaching experience that stretches back into the 80's.
Our hard work and dedication has garnered the confidence of hundreds of couples getting married and companies such as Simerra Property Management, Porter Airlines, Global TV, Sircorp, and the Skydome just to name a few. We are confident that Solaris Entertainment Services can also become your service of choice.
Partnering with us means more than just getting DJs. It's about establishing a long term working relationship that brings new ideas and fresh perspectives to the table. You will be working with people that are accomplished and versatile in different types of music, functions, and themes, as you can see from the above list of diverse clientele. We really do run the gamut: from House and Hip Hop to rock, and from trivia to karaoke, we can take care of it for you. We also help with brain storming, planning, and staging events.
Community Responsibility.
As a company we donate to several charities. These charities are as diverse as the company. We loyally donate to Ducks Unlimited for the environment; The Heart and Stroke Foundation because this can affect all of us - and probably has; and the Toronto Make-A-Wish Foundation because, well, kids are kids regardless of how ill they are. We also send money to local hospitals and other charities.
We are proud members of the Better Business Bureau and the AVLA, and we are an environmentally conscious company. Some of our environmental sound policies include:
1) LIGHTS OUT: We have a full ‘lights out’ policy when the office is not being used. The ‘lights out’ extends to computers, faxes, DJ equipment, coffee makers, TVs/electronics, etc. We even encourage our staff to turn things off if they aren’t being used, even if it’s during the work day.
2) ELECTRONIC CORRESPONDENCE: As much as possible, we use send correspondence via the internet instead of regular mail. We have cut back our paper usage dramatically.
3) RECYCLE EVERYTHING: We recycle as much as we can.
4) REUSE EVERYTHING: From CD spindle cases to scrap paper, you can extend the life of a product before recycling it.
5) NO GAS GUZZLERS: We don’t use gas guzzling vans or SUVs to transport our equipment.
6) CHECK TWICE, PRINT ONCE: If something must get printed, we double check it to make sure that we won’t have to print again.
7) NO PESTICIDES: We do not use environmentally harmful pesticides for our landscaping endeavours. We only water in the morning and evening/night
8) PROPER DISPOSAL: We will properly dispose of all garbage and potentially environmentally harmful items like batteries.
9) A/C ONLY IF NECESSARY: We will only turn on the AC if the weather is uncomfortable.
10) DONATIONS/SUPPORT: We are devoted contributors to Ducks Unlimited and the WWF; plus several other charities that include: Habitat for Humanity, The Heart & Stroke Foundation and The Make-A-Wish Foundation. In fact, we are involved with organizing 2 major charity events a year. The spring event is the 'Sing Your Heart Out' karaoke fundraiser for the Heart and Stroke Foundation, and our fall event is the 'Eh, Bambino!' DJ fundraiser for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
